Physical and mental health constitute an essential lever for a child’s development and their future academic success. Health and learning are closely linked :
- A child who receives a quality education has a greater chance of being in good health.
- A healthy child is better prepared to learn and to succeed.”
The Moroccan Foundation for Preschool Education, the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, as well as the Saham Foundation, have joined forces to deploy medical caravans dedicated to preschool children, close to their schools or homes. These caravans go directly to young children to provide early medical screening and essential care, in a welcoming and child-friendly environment.
School is an ideal place to monitor children’s health and growth. Since they attend it every day, the classroom provides an inclusive and practical space to monitor their health and carry out basic check-ups. This is especially important in rural and remote areas, where access to health services is more difficult.
Since its successful pilot launch in 2023, our medical caravan program has progressively expanded to reach all twelve regions of Morocco. Thanks to the Saham Foundation, we are now deploying this vital service across the entire national territory, ensuring that every year all children benefit from essential healthcare, wherever they live.
The Saham Foundation plays a central role by:
- Mobilizing specialist doctors for the medical caravans.
- raining FMPS supervisors and educational staff in the pre-screening of children to help identify potential health issues.
- Covering the costs of medical consultations and providing necessary equipment (glasses and hearing aids).
With your support, we will be able to fund additional expenses, particularly the transportation of children and their companions to the consultation sites, as well as the purchase of suitable and comforting snacks.
Your support will also enable us to ensure the sustainability of the project and to further expand its impact over time.

Each consultation is an opportunity to detect problems early, prevent school and social isolation, and give children equal chances to succeed.
Our approach
Train and involve educators to carry out pre-screenings and quickly identify warning signs.
Support families by raising awareness about the importance of prevention.
This step-by-step approach, combining pre-screening and referral, allows us to allocate resources efficiently and appropriately: every child receives a pre-screening to detect potential health issues, while those requiring further examination are referred for medical consultations or additional treatments.
