In many mountainous and rural regions of Morocco, the winter climate is particularly harsh. Numerous preschool classrooms in these areas suffer from extremely low temperatures, making learning conditions difficult for children. The cold in classrooms not only causes discomfort that affects their concentration and well-being but also impacts the health of both children and educators. It also strongly influences absenteeism: when parents are assured of their child’s comfort at school, they are more likely to send them regularly.

Installation of wood heating systems

Installing wood heating systems in these classrooms is a solution adapted to local conditions and compliant with safety standards. They will provide even heat distribution at a reasonable cost while also benefiting the local economy.

This installation includes supplying the wood heating units as well as providing enough wood for two years of use, ensuring sustainable and continuous operation of the heating system.

The FMPS has conducted field visits to collect data on the number of classrooms exposed to harsh winters and those requiring heating systems.
Check our map to see which villages in the relevant provinces need heating systems for preschool classrooms.
